Message They interrupt the exhaust pulses from the engine. Since the main purpose of tuned length headers is to take advantage of the pulse timing to use scavenging waves to suck exhaust air out of cylinders and intake air into the cylinders, there isn't much of an effect on a turbo engine. Flow, packaging, and heat are your biggest concerns with turbos.
